Individual Membership
All memberships are based on the calendar year, running from January 1 to December 31. You can read more about our membership policy in the EANM Statutes.
If you have any questions regarding the EANM membership, please get in touch with us via membership@eanm.org.
Being an EANM member offers many benefits, including:
Significant reduction in the registration fee for the Annual Congress
The EANM Annual Congress is a world-leading meeting in the field of nuclear medicine. It has become a forum for scientific exchange and professional and personal networking, attracting over 7,000 participants coming from all over the world. Our Congress is well established, recognised by experts in the field, and seen by the industry as the largest marketplace for nuclear medicine products in Europe.
Attention: Please note that only members who have paid the total amount of their membership fee by May 31 of the respective year will benefit from the reduced Member registration fee for the EANM Annual Congress.
Free access to all the EJNMMI online content
EANM members are granted free online access to the content of the EANM’s official journal, the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (EJNMMI), every month, along with two supplements per year (one being the congress abstract book and the other featuring a special topic).
In addition, EANM members can access Springer’s electronic link system through myEANM-Area, being able to read all guidelines and articles published in the journal.
The EJNMMI aims to provide a forum for exchanging clinical and scientific information for the nuclear medicine community and allied professions involved in the functional, metabolic and molecular investigation of diseases. The EJNMMI is of primary interest to those practising nuclear medicine. It also reports on original work relating to physics, dosimetry, radiation biology, computer science, radiochemistry and pharmacy. Furthermore, the journal publishes in-depth reviews of topical interest, editorial commentaries, occasional surveys, short communications and correspondences. The journal also includes a section featuring the Society News (‘SoNew’) of the EANM.
As of 2007, an EANM agreement with the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine (JSNM) provides reciprocal electronic access for members of both societies to both journals.
Access to myEANM-Area through the EANM website
The EANM website is the main source of information about the association. Among other items, it features information on the organisation, the educational programmes offered by the European School of Multimodality Imaging and Therapy, the activities of the EANM Committees and Councils, new guidelines, careers opportunities, EU affairs and upcoming scientific events.
Furthermore, regular updates and important information regarding congress participation (abstract submission, registration, hotel reservation etc.) are shared online. Our platform tailored for and accessible only by EANM members, myEANM-Area, includes for example a ‘search for member’ function, an electronic link to the full-text version of the EJNMMI and the latest documents for members.
Representation of the EANM Members’ interests towards the EU, governmental agencies and other medical societies
Due to its broad membership base, strong networking contacts, professional organisation and scientific strength, the EANM has become a central player in representing the interests of nuclear medicine towards the EU, governmental agencies and other medical societies.
Reception of the EANM newsletters
To distribute rapidly relevant information about membership, e-newsletters are dispatched regularly. The EANM newsletters provide also important updates about the EANM’s activities, ESMIT, the EANM Annual Congress, our EU policy activities, EARL and much more.
Attention: Please note that only members who have paid the total amount of their membership fee by May 31 of the respective year will benefit from the reduced ‘Member’ registration fee for the EANM Annual Congress.
