Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I submit to The EANM Journal?

Choose The EANM Journal if your paper is primarily about high-impact discovery or definitive evidence likely to broadly influence the nuclear medicine field (clear clinical and/or translational impact, theranostics/diagnostic emphasis).

Which types of articles does The EANM Journal accept?

Original Articles, Clinical Guidelines, Systematic Reviews, highly selected Case Reports, and Letters to the Editor.

Is The EANM Journal indexed?

Journals must meet certain criteria, including a minimum number of published articles, before being included in major databases. By contributing your work, you can help The EANM Journal achieve this milestone more quickly. Additionally, some databases may retroactively index previous issues once the journal is accepted.

How will readers find my articles if The EANM Journal is not indexed yet?

Your manuscript will still gain considerable visibility through Elsevier’s ScienceDirect platform, which reaches a broad global audience. Additionally, each issue is actively promoted through our newsletters and social media channels, amplifying the reach and impact of your work.

An impact factor is important for my career. Why should I publish in a journal that has no impact factor yet?

You will benefit from a streamlined peer-review and publication process, and early contributions play a crucial role in building the journal’s reputation and helping it earn an impact factor in the future. Since both journals are fully open access, your research will be instantly accessible to readers worldwide.

Is there a fee to publish in The EANM Journal?

You can submit your manuscript free of Article Processing Charges (APC) until December 31, 2026. After this date, an APC will be charged for accepted articles; however, Elsevier provides several agreements that may minimize or even eliminate these costs.
