EANM Volunteer & Governance Structure

EANM thrives thanks to its numerous volunteer branches. Each branch is dedicated to a specific focus and collaborates to advance the ever-expanding field of Nuclear Medicine across and beyond Europe.

Board
The EANM Board stands as the highest executive level within the association. Comprised of elected volunteers who serve a minimum two-year term, the Board is entrusted with formulating EANM’s future vision and devising strategic plans to achieve it.

Committees
Serving as EANM’s scientific backbone, the 14 EANM Committees bring together Nuclear Medicine experts from all fields.

These volunteers provide invaluable insights for the publication of procedural guidelines and other scientific papers, work on educational aspects and collaborate with other medical societies to bring nuclear medicine to the forefront – between many other tasks.

Councils
The EANM Councils are permanent internal groups established to advise the Board on both operational and overarching matters. They are responsible for coordinating and supervising the implementation of EANM’s vision and mission.

Project Groups
These are temporary internal groups created to accomplish specific tasks within a set timeframe. Project Groups are formed, tasked, coordinated, and supervised by one or more EANM Committees or Councils.

Piloting Groups
These temporary advisory structures are created and tasked by the EANM Board to conduct preliminary evaluations of specific topics and provide recommendations on whether and how to integrate them within EANM.

Executive Office
The EANM Executive Office ensures smooth operations and effective communication within the association, facilitating the successful execution of all EANM activities.
