In Memoriam: Twyla Bartel and George S. Sgouros
Tribute to Twyla Bartel DO, MBA, FACNM, FSNMMI and George S. Sgouros, PhD

With great sadness, we share the passing of two valued colleagues, Twyla Bartel (1962-2026) and George S. Sgouros (1963-2026), who dedicated their careers to advancing nuclear medicine and worked closely with our American partners at the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI).
EANM will remember George for his outstanding contributions to dosimetry and alpha therapy, while Twyla worked closely with EANM volunteers on the development of joint guidelines that have helped advance our field.
Our thoughts are with their families, friends, colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with them.
